What are the political ideas we, as techies, contribute to the movement?

I would like to find out what people think are the most important political ideas we can contribute to the movement. In the Facebook era, we seem to be faced with the difficult conundrum of activists using tools fundamentally opposed to their goals. For me, the best thing we could do as part of the Occupy Movement is make people aware that technological choices reflect political choices as well.
If we were to construct a proposal for GA's across the country/world regarding techno-politics, what would it include?
